Tell us about your most recent collection.
My most recent collection is a series of small-format works on paper that explore landscapes, florals, and abstract impressions. Created during a period of travel and transition, the pieces are intimate, layered, and intuitive meant to be lived with closely.
What, if anything, would you like people to know about your latest work and its evolution?
This body of work marks a shift toward simplicity and restraint. I’m allowing space, texture, and quiet color conversations to do more of the talking, rather than overworking the surface.
How would you describe your art to first-time viewers?
Bold and colorful when it leans into abstraction, and calm, nostalgic, and serene in the landscapes. Whether abstract or nature-inspired, the work offers a sense of pause — a quiet respite that invites viewers to slow down and feel.
How would you describe yourself as an artist?
I’m deeply driven by the need to create. I feel most peaceful and truly happy only when I make art, it’s essential to my well-being. You could say I’m joyfully addicted to the process of making.
Is there one style of art that you haven't done, but would love to try one day?
Large-scale installation or immersive work — something that viewers can imagine themselves into and experience and feel connected.
Do you have any favorite pieces in this collection? If so, which ones and why?
Yes, there are a few quiet landscape studies that feel especially honest. They were created quickly and instinctively, without second-guessing.
Which piece in this collection was the most difficult to complete?
Respite — A layered landscape that went through many revisions. It taught me patience and the importance of knowing when to stop.
Which piece in this collection was the most fun to complete?
The Fragrant — A floral abstraction done in one sitting, it felt playful and completely free.
Which mediums do you prefer and why?
Acrylics, texture paste, and mixed media on paper and canvas. I love the immediacy, texture, and flexibility they allow.
On a scale from 1–10, how excited are you about life right now?
10 on 10 curious, hopeful, and creatively energized.
